True it's Dembele and Lyon officials that look stupid, Rice put it all nicely:

Have to agree about the coping mechanism. I feel like it’s the West Ham equivalent of those people who say they refuse to have feelings for other people. Less pain that way.

Said after the game Sunday on here that was not too bothered… knew if was a typical shit performance that happens before a massive game…. Quite clear they were saving themselves… wasn’t a shock tonight… we are a decent team on our day… today was our day… wasn’t overly bothered either about losing Zouma… Diop more than capable in being a replacement… I mean Zouma is hardly Craig Dawson is he??

I always underestimate us. It’s a coping mechanism, if I get overly buoyant I end up deflated, expect nothing and enjoy everything if/when it happens.
So many false dawns and West Ham means so much that I find it best for me that way.
I felt we would win when the draw was made, I felt a draw was a good result last week and we would progress but as the week has worn on and after Sunday and Zouma I started having major doubts and lost the faith.
So fucking deliriously happy tonight it’s untrue. I LOVE THIS CLUB.

Don’t be hard on yourself. Lots of understandable doubts due to injuries and dismissals - not to mention poor form. Don’t think you can be a true supporter if you weren’t nervous pre-match. Shows how much you care.
